Everything was amazing! To start, the staff were friendly, professional, and helpful. The room was lovely and cosy with a beautiful river view as promised (during snow season this was especially impressive). It was nice to walk around the facilities comfortably in the provided yukata (Japanese loungewear). The included dinner and breakfast were delicious, nutritious, and generous (both were all-you-can-eat buffet style). Booking for the private onsen and other activities was easy from the front desk. The private onsen was incredible and just a short walk from the hotel. It's set in individual huts where two of the walls can be fully opened to the outside, in case you want the outdoor onsen experience. Late night table tennis back at the hotel was fun! The public onsen (within the hotel building) also had a beautiful view. Don't worry about setting up your futon bedding - the staff will have that ready for you when you come back from dinner :) It's worth arriving early (at check-in time) and taking advantage of all that this hotel has to offer.

Two thumbs up for their hospitality, cleaness, decoration, very polite and helpful staffs, good location and beautiful view. We could view the scenery from our room. Amazing.. We difinitely come and stay again next time. Thank you for your hospitality

This stunning hotel has a private onsen for rent in addition to its public pools for its quests (indoor+ open air with view, jacuzzi,sauna). They are also tattoo friendly! The rooms are traditional Japanese tatami and they make the beds/take them away for you. They have a game room (billiards, pingpong table etc). The dinner shabushabu was excellent!

But you came tell it was a very nice place back in the 90s, with Cathedral light coloured glass lobby to levels of restaurants. Unfortunately only 2 is operating nowadays.

Stayed in corner view suite with a view bath and the room, bath and view was superb. Food was great and the dining experience was just what we wanted in both of the two restaurants. I would definitely stay again
